Dear Franklin Families, I am reaching out to you today to report 2 positive staff cases in the school district. One is a district employee and one is a Paul Smith staff member. Due to the number of staff having to quarantine at Paul Smith School and the length of the quarantine, Paul Smith School will be fully remote all next week. I am hoping to open the middle school and high school on Tuesday and will make that decision on Monday. I am personally doing very well in my recovery and appreciate all of the well wishes sent my way. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent
Good Afternoon Franklin Families, I am reaching out to you to let you know that I have been informed this afternoon that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I had taken my test on Saturday evening after experiencing a minor sore throat. The contact tracing will take some time because of my presence in all 3 schools and will lead to a short term closure of the SAU so I am going to move us to remote status at all 3 schools in the District for the remainder of the week. All 3 schools will be closed for in-person learning through next Monday. Meal deliveries and pickups will continue as usual. I appreciate all of your support during these trying times. Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent
Dear Franklin Families, A middle school staff member, a fully remote high school student, and a hybrid high school student each tested positive today for Covid-19 The hybrid student has not been in school since before Thanksgiving so the contract tracing was minimal and has been completed.
