BAE Systems Women in Technology Program is now accepting applications from female high school Juniors and Seniors with an interest in STEM. Women in Technology (WiT) is a collaborative effort between local area high schools and BAE Systems’ Electronic Systems sector. WiT gives female identifying high school students with an aptitude in math and science a practical, hands-on opportunity to explore careers in various technical disciplines. It also provides mentorship to the students to encourage and support them in their pursuit of a technical career. After completing the program, seniors who have been accepted to college with a declared major in engineering are encouraged to apply for a summer internship opportunity at BAE Systems. The program takes place at BAE Systems locations in Southern NH, beginning on January 4 through May 3, 2022. Students will participate on Tuesday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 PM EST. There are two ways for interested students to apply: 1. Utilize the online application available via Tallo: https://app.tallo.com/application/6470/view (*students will be prompted to create a free profile in Tallo before being redirected to the application) 2. Fill out and email back the attached application to wit.es@baesystems.com The application period for our January 2022 program will be open until November 30. Good Afternoon Franklin Families, I have 2 positive cases to report today at the middle school (1 student (Pemi-Middle wing) and 1 staff member). The staff member is not associated with the wings. After consultation with DHHS and upon their recommendation, we are going to mask up the entire middle school starting on Monday at 6ft. distancing. This means that students and staff will be masked indoors at all times except when consuming meals or when 6ft. distancing can be maintained. Outdoor mask breaks will be provided throughout the day. Masking will continue through at least October 27th. Please help us in these efforts by monitoring your child for symptoms and keeping them home if they are sick. I hope you have a safe and healthy weekend. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent dlegallo@gm.sau18.org
