Tonight's Franklin School District School Board meeting will be held in the Franklin High School Cafeteria.

Dear Franklin Families,
I am reaching out to share with you that we have a student at the middle school that has tested positive for COVID-19 this weekend. The student has been out of school the past 2 weeks so the contact tracing was minimized. I will be making decisions Monday afternoon about the reopening of the schools for Tuesday. We also have a School Board meeting tomorrow night and I will be sending the YouTube link and agenda out to you as well.
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo
SAU 18 Superintendent

Good Morning Franklin Families -
Due to the poor road conditions and winter clean up, we are unable to deliver meals today using our buses. Our window will be open until noon at the Franklin Middle School for meal pick ups and weekend food bags for those that are able to make it. Thank you and have a good weekend.
Sincerely
Daniel LeGallo
Superintendent

Good Evening Franklin Families:
We will be fully remote in the district tomorrow due to snow clean up. We will be delivering meals at the bus stops starting at 9:00 A.M. The Middle School window will also be open for meal pickups and weekend food bags until 12:00 P.M. I hope the kids found some time to get outside and enjoy the fresh snow! Have a great weekend everyone.
Sincerely,
Daniel LeGallo
Superintendent

Good Morning - The Finance Committee Meeting and the Communications/Strategic Committee Meeting scheduled for this evening are both canceled.

Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
With the expectation of significant snow tonight and into tomorrow, we will be remote tomorrow at all 3 schools in the district. The day will run like a fully remote Monday. There will be no meal deliveries or pickups tomorrow as well.
Additionally, I wanted to let you know that we have positive cases today of a student at the high school and a staff member at Paul Smith School. The student has not attended in person since before Thanksgiving and the staff member has been out since last Tuesday because of our remote status. We are continuing our contact tracing at this point.
It certainly has been a busy first day back in the office! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo

Good afternoon Franklin Families,
I have just been informed that a staff member at Franklin High School has tested positive for Covid-19. We are initiating contact tracing immediately.

Dear Franklin Families,
I am reaching out to you today to report 2 positive staff cases in the school district. One is a district employee and one is a Paul Smith staff member. Due to the number of staff having to quarantine at Paul Smith School and the length of the quarantine, Paul Smith School will be fully remote all next week. I am hoping to open the middle school and high school on Tuesday and will make that decision on Monday.
I am personally doing very well in my recovery and appreciate all of the well wishes sent my way.
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo
SAU 18 Superintendent

Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
I am reaching out to you to let you know that I have been informed this afternoon that I have tested positive for COVID-19. I had taken my test on Saturday evening after experiencing a minor sore throat.
The contact tracing will take some time because of my presence in all 3 schools and will lead to a short term closure of the SAU so I am going to move us to remote status at all 3 schools in the District for the remainder of the week. All 3 schools will be closed for in-person learning through next Monday. Meal deliveries and pickups will continue as usual.
I appreciate all of your support during these trying times.
Dan LeGallo
SAU 18 Superintendent

Dear Franklin Families,
A middle school staff member, a fully remote high school student, and a hybrid high school student each tested positive today for Covid-19 The hybrid student has not been in school since before Thanksgiving so the contract tracing was minimal and has been completed.
All 3 schools are set to open for in-person learning tomorrow for Cohort A students at this time.
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo

Good afternoon Franklin Families. A fully remote middle school student has tested positive today for COVID-19. Because of the student's remote status, no action needs to be taken regarding the school. All 3 schools are open for in-person learning tomorrow with Cohort A students. Please remember to screen your children for symptoms prior to sending them to school and contact us if your child is sick.

Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break. We have had no new cases reported in the district to date so all 3 schools will be open for in-person learning tomorrow for Cohort A students. Please remember to screen your children for symptoms and keep them home if they are not feeling well. Please also be aware of the quarantine rules for those who have traveled outside of New England for Thanksgiving break. A 7 day quarantine with a negative test on the 7th day or a 14 day quarantine are mandatory. Thank you for your help in keeping our school community healthy and safe.

Good Morning! We wanted to let you all know that the Franklin Middle School Cafeteria window is open today for hot meals and pick ups! Have a great day.
