Staff at FHS Step Up!

This weekend, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm (May 22- 25) the FHS Players present their spring musical, Percy Jackson's The Lightning Thief at the HIGH school cafeteria. This talented cast of 11 high school students and 4 middle school students are not performing alone! They are joined by 4 amazing staff members who have given up dozens of extra hours after school, at night and on the weekend, just to support the students and show them that it's okay to step outside your comfort zone!

As The Lightning Thief carries Percy and his friends Annabeth and Grover (played by senior Zoe Nagle and freshman Paige McGahey), they encounter numerous Greek Mythological creatures and characters in search for the lightning thief. Percy Jackson is played by FHS Player Alumni and long term music sub for FMS, RJ Soboslai. Poseidon, Hades and Dionysus are all played by high school math teacher and basketball coach, David Bedard and Mr. Brunner/ Ares are played by high school English teacher and soccer coach, Charlie Chapple. Rounding out the staff is the high school art teacher, Ashli Craft, who not only donated time creating a giant Minotaur and Medusa's head, but is really stepping into the action playing Percy's mom, Sally Jackson!

Senior Lily Buker plays Charon and senior Kaia Roper plays Medusa. Other high school students include Savaughna Slocum, Sage Slocum, Keira Michaels, Mackenna Trudel, Hunter LaFlamme, Felix Watson, Ava Dodge, Noah Roper, who plays Luke the son of Hermes and Zoe Brown who plays the daughter of Ares. Joining the cast are middle school students Claire Collins, Willow Buker, Kanoa Rhea and Coleman Chiasson who just recently played Donkey, Princess Fiona, Lord Farquaad and Shrek in the middle school production of Shrek Jr. Ollie Foskey, Ryan Foskey and James Machos are helping with the technical elements as well as the generous community volunteers who give up their time regularly for these kids. The music is directed by Chris Chaisson who is the contracted music teacher at FHS and choreography was done by FHS Alumni Addison Granger and Cam Moquin. FHS Alumni Breezy LaFlamme stepped in to stage manage the production.
