Live Theater This Weekend!! A number of high school students, as well as some staff, will be performing this weekend in Franklin Footlight Community Theatre's production of The Good Doctor!! This is an amazing opportunity for our community and a chance for our students to work with many experienced adults from around the Lakes Region! Shows run Thursday, Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2 pm (March 18-21). Tickets are available online at www.franklinoperahouse.org!

Good evening Franklin Families, This is just a reminder that we have a remote day of school tomorrow in the Franklin School District. We will be delivering double meals tomorrow morning due to the potential storm coming Monday night into Tuesday morning. Our window at the middle school will be open for meal pickups tomorrow until 12:00. Stay tuned for further updates on the incoming storm.

We were super busy bears last week in kindergarten doing all things gingerbread man related! We read a variety of gingerbread man stories, completed gingerbread man STEM projects, and even went on a scavenger hunt trying to find a gingerbread man who was loose in the school. Here are some images of Miss Kneeland's class on their scavenger hunt. We had so much fun giggling down the halls and reading all the clues that he left us. One student couldn't figure out how he was leaving clues so quickly, so we decided he was probably really good at teleporting! We even thought we could see all his little crumbs throughout the halls.

Happy Friday from Mrs. Gregg! My 3rd grade foxes have been very busy this week. Currently we are in Mission 3 of our math program, Zearn. We are practicing our multiplication facts and learning different strategies to help us decompose those tricky numbers. They are doing a great job and continue to work hard. Since February is Black History Month I have been reading books about African Americans who were an important part of U.S. history. My kiddos have learned about Harriet Tubman, Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, Ruby Bridges, and Bessie Colman. We are continuing to practice our cursive and now that I have taught all of our lower case letters I'm writing our daily morning message in cursive. The kids love being able to read in cursive. We are looking forward to our Valentine's day activities and celebrations next week!

The high school student contact tracing will be completed by this evening and the high school will be open for in person learning tomorrow for Cohort B students. The middle school student attended school yesterday so the middle school will be fully remote tomorrow so that the contact tracing can be completed. The Franklin School Board meeting will be held on Tuesday next week due to the Monday holiday. The meeting will be held at our new start time of 6:00 at our new location in the Franklin High School cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend or view the meeting on our youtube channel, "Franklin NH School Board." A link will be sent out with the agenda later this week.

Friday, January 15, there will be NO school for students as it is a Teacher Inservice Day. Staff at all three schools will be participating in Professional Development all day. Also, Monday, January 18, all schools are CLOSED in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. There is NO school on Monday. All schools will resume with Group A hybrid on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
