Good Morning Franklin Families, We have had a threat made at the Franklin High School which has necessitated us to evacuate the building and release students for the day. Students who drive their own vehicle or walk will be released. Students who ride the bus will be released as soon as the buses arrive. At this point, police are on site and this is only a threat. There has been no incident. Sincerely, Dan Legallo Superintendent SAU 18

Good Afternoon Franklin Families, I am reaching out to let you know that at approximately 1:30 today I placed the elementary school in a "secure campus" due to heavy police activity at the bottom of Daniel Webster Drive. Secure campus means all students and staff remain inside the building and continue on with their normal learning routine. The police incident disrupted our normal dismissal because of road closures but we were able to reroute buses to bring students home safely. Thank you for your patience with the delay. I would like to commend the staff and students for their excellent response to this situation and keeping the students safe and learning. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent dlegallo@gm.sau18.org

Good Evening Franklin Middle School Families, I am reaching out to inform you that we had a written threat on the wall in the girl's bathroom at the middle school toward the end of the day today. The Franklin Police Department was called in and deemed the threat to be "not credible." We are investigating the incident with the assistance of the Franklin Police Department. Please assist us by reminding your children/students if they see something or hear something that isn't safe to let a trusted adult know right away. It takes all of us to keep our schools safe for learning. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent dlegallo@gm.sau18.org

Good Morning Franklin Families, I am reaching out to inform you of a situation I was made aware of by the Franklin Police Department this morning. They investigated a potential threat of a school shooting at the Compass Classical Charter School located in Franklin. After investigating, they found the threat to be not credible. There will be an officer at all 3 schools this morning out of an abundance of caution and to reassure students and staff of their safety. I would like to thank the Franklin Police Department for their swift response to this incident. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo SAU 18 Superintendent dlegallo@gm.sau18.org 603-266-9833

We are excited for students to return to school one week from today on Tuesday, September 6th! Please take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with some of the apps Paul Smith School uses to communicate with you. ClassDojo is our school's communication tool for families to connect with their classroom teacher and see updates from both their child’s classroom and Paul Smith School. ClassDojo can be accessed on the app store for iOS and Android devices or on their website https://www.classdojo.com/ . Classroom teachers will support you in connecting to your child’s ClassDojo. ALMA is our school information system. Each family has an ALMA account that has their child's registration information and classroom teacher assignment. This is also where you will be able to access your child’s report card this year. ALMA can be accessed on any web browser at http://pss.getalma.com/. There is no ALMA app for phones. Please call us at 934-4144 if you need support connecting to ALMA. PickUp Patrol is our school's dismissal plan application. To report an absence, late arrival, early dismissal, or change in dismissal plan, please utilize PickUp Patrol. Absences need to be reported by 10 am. Dismissal changes need to be reported by 1 pm. All messages sent through PickUp Patrol are confidential. PickUp Patrol can be accessed on the app store for iOS and Android devices or on their website https://app.pickuppatrol.net/. Please call us at 934-4144 if you need support connecting to PickUp Patrol. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, September 1st for our drop-in Meet the Teacher event from 3:30-5:30pm!
