Good afternoon Franklin Families. A fully remote middle school student has tested positive today for COVID-19. Because of the student's remote status, no action needs to be taken regarding the school. All 3 schools are open for in-person learning tomorrow with Cohort A students. Please remember to screen your children for symptoms prior to sending them to school and contact us if your child is sick.

Good Afternoon Franklin Families, I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving break. We have had no new cases reported in the district to date so all 3 schools will be open for in-person learning tomorrow for Cohort A students. Please remember to screen your children for symptoms and keep them home if they are not feeling well. Please also be aware of the quarantine rules for those who have traveled outside of New England for Thanksgiving break. A 7 day quarantine with a negative test on the 7th day or a 14 day quarantine are mandatory. Thank you for your help in keeping our school community healthy and safe.

Dear Franklin Families, I am reaching out to let you know that the middle school will need to be fully remote tomorrow because of the number of staff that need to be in quarantine because of exposure to Covid-19. The elementary school and high school will be open for in-person learning for Cohort A students. Meal deliveries will continue during our morning bus run tomorrow. Cold meals and grocery bags from the food pantry will be available at the middle school window from 7:30 -12:00. A reminder that there is no school on Wednesday as it is the start of the Thanksgiving break.

We have received full grocery bags from the Franklin Food Pantry this morning for distribution. The middle school window will be open until 12:00 today for distribution of the grocery bags and cold meals as well. We will also deliver the grocery bags tomorrow during our morning bus run. We are grateful to the food pantry for partnering with us for this food distribution.

Good Afternoon Franklin Families I am reaching out to tell you that we have completed our contact tracing and notifications for our middle school positive student case. I hope this news brings you some comfort and reduces some anxiety as we head into the weekend. Currently, we have no new cases in the school district to report. We are fully remote on Monday as usual and I plan to be open at all 3 schools on Tuesday unless we have more positive cases. I hope you have a healthy and safe weekend. Sincerely, Dan LeGallo

Good afternoon Franklin Families. We have completed our contact tracing on our case at the middle school and have had to quarantine some members of our food service staff. Because of this, we will be temporarily closing our window service at the middle school and our service to students at the rec. department starting tomorrow. We will still be running our bus deliveries using the morning bus run and serving students in person at the 3 schools. I apologize for this disruption in service and expect to be back to fully operational after the Thanksgiving break.
