Student Leadership Council

Welcome to the Student Leadership Council web page!

The goal of the Franklin Middle School Student Leadership Council is to create one cohesive group of students in grades five through eight who will work with peers, staff and members of the community to improve the school environment. The Student Leadership Council will empower students to respectfully communicate, collaborate and take action in school-wide opportunities.

The goal of Student Leadership is to have the students in our school take on an active role in being a leader while making a difference for their peers, school, and community. In the past the students have been involved in community service projects such as Cash n’ Cans, collecting items for the Franklin Animal Shelter, Pennies for Patients, Mix It Up Day, and helping to set up for special events within the school.
Many students in the Student Leadership program also take part in the FMS FYI (Franklin Youth Initiative). This is part of the Franklin Mayor’s Drug Task Force. These students take part in learning activities to understand the dangers of risky behaviors, and come up with initiatives to help make Franklin a safer and happier community.Student Leadership will be very busy again this school year! We have a lot of exciting projects coming up for the 2017-2018 school year. Students will be getting information on signing up to be part of the Student Leadership Council early this school year.If you have any questions regarding Student Leadership please contact at @sau18.org or 934-5828.
