Dear Franklin Families, I am writing to inform you that a student at Franklin High School has tested positive for COVID-19 today. The student has not attended school since before vacation so the contact tracing was minimal and has been completed. There is no impact on the schools for tomorrow and we will be open for in-person learning with Cohort B students. Thank you for your continued support of our schools. Good Afternoon Franklin Families, I hope you had a great holiday and a relaxing vacation. I wish you and your families a very Happy New Year and a great 2021! I wanted to let you know that we had a staff member at Franklin High School test positive over the weekend. There were no close contacts, as we were all out on vacation. We are all set to welcome back our Cohort A students, in-person tomorrow morning, at all 3 schools. A couple of reminders as we head into the new year. Please be sure to contact the schools if your child tests positive for COVID-19. The sooner we know, the sooner we can initiate contact tracing to keep everyone safe. Please continue to monitor your child/children for symptoms and keep them home to work remotely if they are exhibiting any flu-like symptoms. Additionally, please remember that if you traveled out of New England, our students need to quarantine for 7 days with a negative PCR test on the 7th day, or quarantine for a total of 10 days without a test before returning to school per NH Department of Health and Human Services guidelines.. Good afternoon Students, Parents, and Guardians, Students who were on campus today received a holiday mug from our staff. If your child is remote learning or is in cohort B, please feel free to stop into the FHS main office today until 3pm, or tomorrow from 6:30am to 1:30pm. If you are unable to stop in at these times please email your child's advisory teacher so that we can put one aside for you. If you would like a bag of food, those will also be available for pickup. The student has been out of school the past 2 weeks so the contact tracing was minimized. I will be making decisions Monday afternoon about the reopening of the schools for Tuesday. Good Morning Franklin Families - Due to the poor road conditions and winter clean up, we are unable to deliver meals today using our buses. Our window will be open until noon at the Franklin Middle School for meal pick ups and weekend food bags for those that are able to make it. Thank you and have a good weekend. Good Evening Franklin Families: We will be fully remote in the district tomorrow due to snow clean up. We will be delivering meals at the bus stops starting at 9:00 A.M. The Middle School window will also be open for meal pickups and weekend food bags until 12:00 P.M. I hope the kids found some time to get outside and enjoy the fresh snow! Good Afternoon Franklin Families, With the expectation of significant snow tonight and into tomorrow, we will be remote tomorrow at all 3 schools in the district. The day will run like a fully remote Monday. There will be no meal deliveries or pickups tomorrow as well. Additionally, I wanted to let you know that we have positive cases today of a student at the high school and a staff member at Paul Smith School. The student has not attended in person since before Thanksgiving and the staff member has been out since last Tuesday because of our remote status. Dear Franklin Families, I am reaching out to you today to report 2 positive staff cases in the school district. One is a district employee and one is a Paul Smith staff member. Due to the number of staff having to quarantine at Paul Smith School and the length of the quarantine, Paul Smith School will be fully remote all next week. I am hoping to open the middle school and high school on Tuesday and will make that decision on Monday.
