Drama Students Spend Day at PSU!a

FHS Players students wait for a workshop!

10 high school theater students from the FHS Players attended this year’s annual New Hampshire Educational Theater Guild’s PSU Workshop day on Friday, October 7.  The students spent all day at the Silver Center at PSU taking 5 collegiate workshops of their choice.  Each workshop was an hour long and taught by professors, professional theater personnel or college theater students.  Our students took workshops in acting, directing, writing, dance, costuming, make-up, lighting, set design, scene work, props and more.  They participated in workshops with over 300 other students from all over New Hampshire and from various high schools.  Their day culminated in watching the PSU Theater production of Into the Woods, which featured an FHS Alumni (2021) RJ Soboslai in his first college performance on the mainstage.  The students loved the performance, but especially loved watching RJ, who they have all worked with in Franklin, performing on the huge PSU stage.

In March, NHETG will continue with our students joining others at one of three Regional Theater Festivals as they participate in the One Act Festival.  For now, they are focused on bringing their production of Little Shop of Horrors to life on Nov. 17-20!  Get your tickets now!!!
