7th Grader displays 3-D cell model

7th grade students are in the middle of their unit on Cell Biology.

We've been having fun learning all about cells, some of their organelles and their functions. Did you know there are approximately 37 trillion cells in the average adult body? We've learned how to use compound light microscopes and as you can see here, we constructed some amazing 3-D cell models.

The models were made from a wide variety of materials ranging from paper products, clay, and styrofoam to a variety of edible forms including pizza, an open face burrito (if that's a thing), giant cookies, and a wide assortment of cakes. The edible varieties not only looked good but I'm told they were all quite tasty too! Rock on 7th grade!!
